To render Medical aid to the students
To impart to the students modern knowledge about the preventive & social aspects of medicine
To establish Clinics or Hospital or both rendenring medical aid to the students.

Management:
The management of the HOME is the working Committee & 80% member of the Working Committee are the students members. The Working Committee is responsible to the general Body members of the
HOME
The Secretariats consists of 12 office Be rears & 5 members elected by the Working Committee planning organizing, leading & Coordinating the day-to-day affairs of the HOME

Finance
Students Health Home runs utilizing Students Contribution (that is students membership subscription & Hospital including Clinical Collection as token Service charges) & by various fund raising programs like blood Donation, Brotherhood Collection ,Walk Personal Donation & other activities A par of the indoor facilities is the State Government Grants SHH has received Projects grants for its various Programmes at different times.

Heritage
It was the Year 1952, 2nd September a few years after the independence of India. The belief no more need of students movement in an independent country was shattered by the ongoing events in Bengal the Stark poverty the plight of the refugees of partition. Soon Bengal was the hot bed of student’s activity. With poverty came malnutrition, disease & ill health. The untimely demise of revolutionary poet Sujkanta Bhattacharya raised the student from deep slumber. The need was felt to look after the health of the students & out of the insecurity ignited by the Zeal of young medicos was born an institution “built by the sweat & blood of the students”……….The Students Health home
